Thank you for your interest in supporting The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital!
Please read the following information to see if an answer to your inquiry can be found below. If your questions cannot be answered by the information below, you can expect to receive an individual response from us soon.
VOLUNTEER AT THE HOSPITAL:
If you are interested in volunteering in the hospital, alongside the patients or otherwise, you will need to fill out an application with the MMC Volunteer Services Department. You can find the application on our website, and Volunteer Services can be reached by phone at 207-662-2205 if you have any questions.
VOLUNTEER AT A FUNDRAISING EVENT OR ON A COMMITTEE:
If you’re interested in volunteering to provide office or fundraising support, or volunteering at an event or on a committee with the Philanthropy Department, we would be happy to let you know about upcoming opportunities! We send out periodic emails with information about ways to support the hospital, so please keep an eye out for an email from us soon. And if you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out- we’re happy to help.
We receive many inquiries from groups wanting to come in and read to kids, or lead arts and crafts projects with our patients. However, for the safety and privacy of our patients, we are not able to offer these opportunities at this time. We would direct anyone who is interested in volunteering inside the hospital to our Volunteer Services Department. As an alternative activity, you may consider holding a small fundraiser, or a drive for toiletries (travel size and fragrance free), as a way to support the patients and families here at BBCH.
Any questions? Please send us an email!
On behalf of the more than 38,000 children who are treated at The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital each year, we thank you for your kindness and generosity.
