Maine Medical Partners – Pediatrics, a department of The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center, is a group of community-based pediatricians who are committed to keeping children healthy. The largest pediatric team in the entire state, our group is made up of board-certified pediatricians throughout southern Maine.
As primary care physicians, we provide a “medical home” for children from infancy through age 21. We provide preventive care and physical exams, treat illnesses and injuries, provide telephone advice, help with emotional or behavioral issues and coordinate care with pediatric specialists when needed. We have an emphasis on preventive care and wellness. We can provide streamlined access to the wealth of pediatric subspecialty expertise within our organization, ensuring that your child receives the advanced care he or she needs.
As office-based primary care physicians, our pediatricians help to diagnose, treat and manage a full range of acute and chronic conditions affecting children. Among the most common conditions
we see are:
- Behavioral and developmental problems
- Cystic fibrosis
- Eating disorders
- Gastrointestinal problems
- Hearing problems
- Heart problems
- Mental health issues
