We recently invited employees across the MaineHealth system to submit photos highlighting our six shared values: Patient Centered, Respect, Integrity, Excellence, Ownership and Innovation. For a creative challenge, at least one of the values circle graphics had to be included somewhere in the photo.
Photo Contest Rules
Categories
Employees may submit photos in the following two categories:
- Values in Action: Show us a moment where you are living one (or more) of our shared values.
- Most Creative: Take an imaginative approach to showcasing our values!
Guidelines
- At least one of the values graphics must be included in the photo. For example, an image that demonstrates "Excellence" needs to feature the red "Excellence" circle somewhere in the photo.
- You can use banners, posters, cards or other items featuring the values graphics.

- You may submit a photo as an individual OR as part of a team (up to 10 people).
- Participants are allowed to submit one (1) photo for each category ("Values in Action" and "Most Creative"). You may submit photos as both an individual and as part of a team as long as the photos are different.
- Photos taken with your iPhone or Android camera are welcome!
- Make sure to submit the original size (no smaller than 1000 pixels in height or width).
- Be mindful of the people appearing in your photo.
- If your photo features a patient or other individual not employed by a MaineHealth member organization, your photo MUST be submitted with this signed release form. You can upload using the form below.
- Do not disclose any protected health information in your photos.
Judging Criteria
Photos will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Subject matter
- Originality
- Quality
- Overall impression
Prizes
Category: Values in Action
- Grand Prize - Individual: Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 Camera
- Grand Prize - Team: $25 Amazon gift card for each team member (one gift card for each team member, up to 10 people)
- Honorable Mentions - Member Organizations: The top individual and team photo submission from each member organization will receive a tote bag (one tote for each team member, up to 10 people)
Category: Most Creative
- Grand Prize - Individual: Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 Camera

Entry Deadline
The submission period has ended. Winners will be announced and notified by October 31.
