5-2-1-0 was developed by the Maine Youth Overweight Collaborative (MYOC) in 2004, which was adapted from a Massachusetts health promotion campaign called Jump Up and Go. Key leaders at MYOC then brought the message to Let’s Go! in 2006, where it was disseminated to multiple settings as an integral component of the program.
No, 5-2-1-0 is not trademarked. It has been commonly used for so many years now that it is in the public domain, meaning anyone can use it.
