The Cornerstone Campaign
For more than 76 years, the Miles LincolnHealth campus has fulfilled its mission by adapting to the health care needs of the community. Today, due to the changing landscape of healthcare and the needs of our patients and clinical staff, we can no longer achieve our mission with our current outpatient facilities.
To meet these changes and needs, the construction of a new health center is currently underway. The Herbert and Roberta Watson Health Center will be a two-and-a-half story, 37,000 sq. ft. facility. The building will cost $13.7 million and will be funded by savings and philanthropic efforts. LincolnHealth will not borrow any funds for this project.
The trustees, medical staff and administration believe that LincolnHealth’s ability to continue providing services such as Emergency and Inpatient Hospital Care will largely depend on the quality, efficiency, and sustainability of our outpatient medical practices.
In the words of LincolnHealth Chief Medical Officer Russell Mack, MD “This new facility is the most important project on the Miles campus since the original hospital was completed in 1941. It is also the key to preserving healthcare services in Lincoln County for decades to come.”
