SafeSitter Babysitting Course
Memorial Hospital offers our community SafeSitter Babysitting Courses.
Teens in Mt. Washington Valley can once again locally receive comprehensive babysitting training, including CPR. Offered right here in our community, Memorial Hospital’s new schedule of classes are designed to help babysitters prevent injuries and handle emergencies when home alone, watching younger siblings or babysitting.
Two sessions are being offered, on Friday, November 10 and Thursday, December 28 from 9am – 3:30pm. Both classes will take place on the upper level of the outpatient physical therapy building just north of Memorial Hospital’s main building on Route 16 in North Conway.
Advance registration is required online. Check back soon for the link to the online registration page.
The cost is only $50 per student, and scholarships are available for those who cannot otherwise afford to attend. Students should inquire with their school nurse’s office for details on how to qualify for need-based scholarships. The course will be taught by Memorial Hospital nursing staff, including Linda Taylor, Pam Bormann and Jessica Whitaker.
