Support groups provide a comfortable and safe environment where you can share your feelings and thoughts on a particular life experience. Memorial Hospital and other community health care facilities sponsor a variety of support groups.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Sunday from 3 pm-4 pm
Breastfeeding Support Group
A weekly support group for mothers who are breastfeeding. Sponsored by Memorial Hospital's Family Birthing Center and facilitated by certified lactation specialists:

All breastfeeding women, regardless of where they gave birth, are invited; babies and siblings welcome. Meets at 10am in the Main Street Professional Building (just south of Memorial Hospital's main campus on Route 16) every Thursday.

Caregivers of those with Alzheimer's or Related Disorders
This support group offers education, support and coping skills for caregivers. Pre-arranged care is available for the family member while the caregiver attends the meeting.

Meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, 1:30pm - 3pm at the Merriman House.

Miranda Center for Diabetes Support Group
For diabetics and their support people. An opportunity for education and discussion with other people who have diabetes or are experiencing it in their family.

Eating Disorders Support Group

Journey of Hope - Cancer Support Group
Since 1999, a vibrant group upwards of 20 cancer survivors have met monthly to provide wonderful support to one another. Whether you have been through it, or are going through it now, this is a great group of people to know. Information, education, speakers and encouragement are provided for those with cancer and their support people. This group is facilitated by an oncology certified nurse and Social Services.

Journey of Hope meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7 pm - 8:30 pm in the Sun Room.
Loss & Recovery Support Group
Experience shows that a structured group aimed toward recovery from the loss of a loved one can significantly enhance a person’s quality of life.
We invite you to join us.
Group meetings are held on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30PM for 6 weeks in the LaRoche Great Room at VNHCH, 1529 White Mtn. Hwy, North Conway
