Southern Maine Health Care (SMHC) is pleased to announce that Susan Keiler has joined SMHC as senior vice president and chief innovation officer. Keiler is responsible for leading SMHC’s strategic plans to achieve its financial results and fulfil its vision to make our communities the healthiest in America, improve the patient experience and lower the cost of health care.

Keiler has 16 years of experience leading physician networks and inpatient and outpatient services at St. Mary’s Health System in Lewiston, where she led very successful system-wide performance improvement initiatives based on growth strategies and improvements in revenue capture. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in physical therapy and received her master’s degree in health administration from the University of New Hampshire.
