Alison Newton, R.N., BSN, Senior Director Outpatient Services, recently announced that Karen Clarke, RN, BSN, CNIII, has been appointed the new Clinical Nurse Leader of the Emergency Department at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
Karen graduated from University of Southern Maine with a BSN in Nursing. She possesses 14 years of clinical experience and has been a valuable member of the Emergency Services team at Stephens Memorial Hospital since 2008. Karen has outstanding emergency nursing skills. Present certifications include Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
Newton shares, “Karen has always sought out professional growth opportunities and has been a role model to her peers.
