Maine Medical Center Specialty Pharmacy Program Receives URAC Accreditation

URAC accreditation sealPORTLAND, Maine – Maine Medical Center’s Specialty Pharmacy Program has received full accreditation from URAC, the governing body that evaluates pharmacy program quality. The program’s accredited status is current through February of 2021.

Opened in January of 2015, MMC’s Specialty Pharmacy Program provides important medication services to ambulatory patients with complex, chronic conditions. It also serves the general community through MMC’s Retail Pharmacy located inside MMC at 22 Bramhall Street.

Accreditation by URAC, formerly known as the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission, indicates MMC’s program maintains the highest standards of quality, patient centeredness and access to care.
