NORTH CONWAY, NH – Memorial Hospital recently announced new leadership roles within its primary care practice, solidifying its management structure and continuing the rebuilding of its largest department. Mount Washington Valley Rural Health – Primary Care – whose name changed earlier this year as part of its receiving a federal rural health designation – promoted several long-time employees, recognizing their hard work, skills and contributions.
Dr. Rachel Hamilton was named Interim Medical Director for the practice. Dr. Hamilton is a popular primary care provider who has stepped in to fill in the need for medical leadership within the practice as the hospital continues its recruitment efforts to hire three more physicians, including a permanent medical director.
Lucy Williams is a familiar face around Mount Washington Valley. She went to Kennett High School and started at Memorial six years ago as a temporary switchboard operator and started her career in primary care as an administrative assistant. She took on increasing levels of responsibility in the practice and her diligence came to the attention of Monica Russo, Vice President of Practice Operations, who has been working closely with the team for the past several months. “Lucy is an extremely bright and talented professional who has been instrumental in redesigning primary care to improve the patient experience and enhance provider and staff engagement. She is a tremendous asset to our organization and I look forward to seeing the practice continue to grow under her leadership.”
Rounding out the team is Deb Eastman as Clerical Supervisor. Deb is a long-time presence in primary care and brings a great deal of experience to the mix. She has been with Memorial for 18 years and is responsible for providing leadership and direction for all front office and administration activities within the practice.
The entire team is looking forward to working together to improve patient care, strive to make the patient experience better and to make access easier, from phone handling to scheduling appointments to clinical collaboration.
