NSQIP Recognition

November 21, 2019
The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP) has recognized MMC for its excellent surgical patient care in 2018. MMC is one of just 88 NSQIP participating hospitals to achieve meritorious outcomes this year.

The ACS NSQIP recognition program commends a select group of hospitals for achieving a meritorious composite score by using risk-adjusted data assessing the outcomes of inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures, including patient safety. NSQIP looked at eight clinical areas: mortality, unplanned intubation, ventilator > 48 hours, renal failure, cardiac incidents (cardiac arrest and myocardial infarction), respiratory (pneumonia), SSI (surgical site infections-superficial and deep incisional and organ-space SSIs), and urinary tract infection.

Congratulations to our Surgical Services team!
