Pen Bay Medical Center offers a variety of support groups at its different facilities. Additional support groups are hosted on our campus.

Women's Cancer Support Group 

Join facilitator Colleen Kinney, LICSW, at the Picker Family Resource Center. The group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Please call 207-542-4985 for more information. Free.

Diabetes and Nutrition Care Center

The Diabetes and Nutrition Care Center provides both nutritional counseling for a wide variety of medical conditions and diabetes education in individual or group settings. Please contact us at 207-921-3999 for more information.

Women’s Health

The Mother’s Milk Network

A support group for breastfeeding families. The format is informal. It provides group interaction as well as individual assistance when needed. Pregnant moms wanting a little more information about breastfeeding are also welcome.

Facilitated by a Lactation Consultant from OB/GYN. Free. Our Lactation Consultant phone, 207-921-8337, is available for questions or concerns for mothers no matter the age of their breastfeeding baby. Meets every Tuesday from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Please call ahead if meeting falls on a holiday, 207-921-8345.

Alzheimer's Disease

The Alzheimer’s Support Group meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill OR the third Tuesday of each month at 3:00 p.m. at the Rockland Room in the Knox Center.

Parkinson's Disease

Free and open to those living with Parkinson’s, their family members and caregivers. Please call Cassie Walters at 207-596-3978 for more information.

Held the first Tuesday of each month, 12:00 to 1:45 p.m. at Quarry Hill.

Lung Health Education, Prevention and Wellness

Lung Health Education, Prevention and Wellness Support Group. Held on the last Tuesday of every month from Noon to 1:00 p.m. Located at PBMC in the Pulmonary Rehab Education Room.
