Biography
Dr. Endrizzi received his undergraduate degree in 1978 from Columbia College in New York City. He remained at Columbia for his MD degree and his post-doctoral training in general surgery and orthopedics. While at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital his interest in disorders of the shoulder was stimulated by Dr. Charles Neer and research done under the guidance of Louis Bigliani MD. Before coming to Maine, Dr. Endrizzi went to Chur, Switzerland for a fracture fellowship with Dr. Thomas Ruedi.

Dr. Endrizzi specializes in disorders of the shoulder and shoulder surgery to correct those disorders. Those surgeries include various types of shoulder arthroplasty (replacement) including resurfacing and reverse shoulder replacement, as well as shoulder arthroscopy, rotator cuff repair, repair for recurrent dislocation, ligament reconstruction, and fracture repair.

His publications include multiple peer reviewed articles, book chapters, abstracts, case reports, and an editorial. He has given many invited lectures at regional, national, and international conferences. He continues to do clinical research in shoulder surgery.

Dr. Endrizzi is a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons organization, a society for leaders in the field of shoulder and elbow surgery. He is an editorial board member for the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. He has been recognized by US News and World Reports as one of the “top doctors” in the US And by DownEast Magazine as one of the top specialists in Maine.

Dr. Endrizzi is married to Dr. Marguerite Pennoyer MD and they have 3 children. They both enjoy many of the outdoor activities available here in Maine.
