Strategic Plan

Waldo County General Hospital is part of the MaineHealth system, a not-for-profit family of high-quality hospitals, providers and healthcare organizations, dedicated to a vision of working together so our communities are the healthiest in America. In 2015 a System Strategic Planning Committee composed of community volunteers and leaders from across the MaineHealth service area aligned and developed the system-level strategic plan that outlines key priorities common to all our communities.

MaineHealth’s 2016-18 strategic plan sets the course for the development of each organization’s strategic plan. More than a year in the making, with broad community input, the LincolnHealth 2017-2019 Strategic Plan supports that common vision and reflects key priorities set forth by MaineHealth and also reflects local health care needs and priorities.

The Coastal Healthcare Alliance (CHA) strategic plan serves as our operational guideline for the next three years. It provides a compelling vision rooted in a commitment to our mission and is supported by a set of values shared across the MaineHealth system. Providing the highest quality, patient centered care takes constant commitment, learning and discovery that contribute to the health and wellness of our friends and neighbors across the Midcoast. Coastal Healthcare Alliance includes Pen Bay Medical Center, Waldo County General Hospital and their affiliates.

Each of these priorities has goals that help us meet our mission and provide the best healthcare services possible to our community.
