SMH Run for Wellness 5K!
On Sunday, June 3, 2018, almost 200 walkers and runners came out to participate in the sixth annual SMH Run for Wellness 5K. Participants from the Oxford Hills community and as far as Massachusetts and Delaware came out to run for the health of it!
The day’s events kicked off with a Kids Fun Run, which had a total of thirteen participants. Every child that crossed the finish line received a medal. The top three finishers were: Collin Verrill of Bowdin (first place), Brenna Wilson of Bryant Pond (second place), and Gabby McAlister of Poland (third place). Congratulations to all the runners in the Kids Fun Run!
Logan Hallee of Newark, DE, was the top male finisher with a race time of 18:24. Jamie Toohey of Waterford was the first female to cross the finish line with a time of 23:10. Both Logan and Jamie received a $50 gift certificate to New Balance.
