MaineHealth is here to help you save on medication costs

Anyone who needs help paying for prescription drugs can get help. MedAccess staff will work with you to lower your medication costs. There are many programs you may qualify for, plus discount generic programs available to everyone at most pharmacies.

What is a patient assistance program?

Patient assistance programs are free-medication programs offered by the pharmaceutical companies for people who cannot afford to buy their medications. MedAccess works with you and your doctor's office to complete the paperwork and follow up to make sure you're getting your medicine. Medicine is either sent to you or to your doctor, depending on each company's rules. MedAccess can also teach you other ways to get your medications through federal, state and local programs. We provide education on low-cost generic medications and help you find out which pharmacies have the best prices for your medicine.

How much does MedAccess cost?

There's no charge to you or your doctor for our services.

Am I eligible for help from MedAccess?

Yes, if you take prescription drugs.
