Samir A Haydar, DO
- Emergency Medicine
As an emergency medicine physician, my primary focus is treating the acute care needs of the local population. This can include anything from life threatening emergencies to just about any health care issue that can’t wait any longer and needs to be addressed. I find great value from the variety of conditions that we see and are able to diagnose and treat in our department. We live in a great medical community and have a number of resources we are able to provide upon admission to the hospital or discharge from the emergency department. Our department hosts an emergency medicine residency program. As a faculty member, I am fortunate to dedicate a good portion of my practice to teaching the next generation of emergency physicians.
My administrative responsibilities include serving as the Director of Quality for our emergency department, Physician Advisor for Clinical Documentation and as the Medical Director for Hospital Flow and Patient Access. My academic career has been focused on optimizing both the patient and the providers’ clinical experience. This means I dedicate a majority of my “non-clinical” time to finding ways to improve the health care experience for those receiving care and for those who deliver it. Finding ways to streamline and improve care is my passion.
