Robert V McCarley

I am the Medical Director for Maine Behavioral Healthcare Intensive Services including Crisis, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), contracted services at Southern Maine Healthcare and Pen Bay Medical Center, and at Spring Harbor Hospital.

Practicing in Maine since 2003, I have worked at Maine Medical Center in the outpatient psychiatry Partial Hospital Program, and as the Outpatient Psychiatry Residency Coordinator. I subsequently became the Medical Director of Spring Harbor Hospital, which merged with Maine Behavioral Healthcare.

I trained at the Harvard Longwood Psychiatric Residency Training Program, Brigham & Women's Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Massachusetts Mental Health Center in Boston. I graduated from the George Washington Center School of Medicine in Washington DC.

As a proud father of five children, I enjoy skiing, living with my family and community in Maine, and walking in the woods with my dog.
