Hailing from northern Maine, I have a direct understanding of the geographic and financial challenges that can often impede Mainers' access to optimal health care. The development of MaineHealth Cancer Care Network has been a major stride in working to overcome these challenges for patients. I intend to foster a professional working relationship with health care professionals in the network and across the state to ensure that effective communication, technology, and multidisciplinary teams are utilized to promote oncologic care that is patient-centric and as close to home as feasible. My interests include genitourinary (prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular) and gastrointestinal malignancies, medical education, cancer in older adults, as well as the management and prevention of chemotoxicity.
