Looking for health information? Connect with a health educator! Send us your health questions and get a response from one of our health educators in one business day. The health educators at the MaineHealth Learning Resource Center want to help. We are trained to find credible health information you can trust. We are here to answer your questions, share health information and connect you to local resources.
We offer many classes that can help you meet your goals and take control of your health. Our classes cover a wide range of health topics and are taught by local health experts including doctors, dietitians and health educators. Join us to learn about topics like heart health, stress reduction or healthy cooking. Many classes are free or low cost, and scholarships are available.
Meet with one of our trained Advance Care Planning facilitators to help you learn more about your wishes for end of life care or to help you complete an Advance Directive form. With an advance directive, you can have a voice in your health care even if illness or injury leaves you unable to make decisions for yourself. It gives your family and health care team your instructions about what type of care you would or would not like to have. We have trained facilitators who can help you better understand your wishes for your advance directive. We’ll even sit with you while you complete the form.
We offer a variety of classes around mindfulness as well as offer books and resources on the topic.
We are a team of health educators who are committed to helping our community be the healthiest it can be.
