Franklin Health Medical Arts Center
The Franklin Health Medical Arts Center houses Franklin Health Farmington Family Practice, Pediatrics, Women’s Care, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Behavioral Services medical practices, as well as the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center. Nonclinical departments on the lower level include Patient Financial Services, Health Information Management, and Quality.
The Center, which opened in 2008, features an open floor plan with cathedral ceilings, a fieldstone fireplace, and large windows facing the Healing Gardens. The main design theme for the interiors was to bring elements of the outside environment inside the building to enhance the healing process. Whether it’s the natural stone and wood finishes of the main lobby, the beautiful murals throughout, or the color palettes, the nature theme is reinforced.
Nestled into a tall grove of pines, the Center has a lodge type atmosphere reminiscent of the fly fishing camps of the early 1900s. The building, despite its medical nature, is a celebration of quintessential Maine and the outdoors.
