Chaplain Support Services

Chaplains

Chaplains and specially trained volunteers offer spiritual support and care to patients and to members of their families. At a time of hospitalization, the spiritual dimension of life can be quite precious—and can be a source of hope and comfort. We respect the religious and spiritual traditions of all people and are available regardless of religious affiliation. Chaplains are available 24 hours a day.

Our Chaplains

Rev. Doug Dunlap (right in photo) has completed Clinical Pastoral Education units at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, and Maine Medical Center. He is a M.Div. graduate of Harvard Divinity School, and is an Ordained Minister in the United Church of Christ.

Rev. Tim Walmer (left in photo) has completed Clinical Pastoral Education at Presbyterian (now Humana) Hospital, Denver, Colorado, and Central Maine Medical Center. He is a M.Div. graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary, and is an Ordained Minister in The Episcopal Church.

Our Chapel

The Tree of Life Chapel is located on the first floor. It is open 24 hours a day as a place to be alone with your thoughts and prayers, to sit with family members and friends, or to enjoy a time of peace and quiet. A prayer journal is available to record prayer requests. Bibles and spiritual literature are also available.

For more information call 779-2509.
