Masking is no longer required throughout our hospital facilities and clinics except in certain cases (see below). Anyone can mask at their discretion and masks are available at all entrances.
All visitors and escorts on campus must wear a provided mask over the nose and mouth at all times, including when visiting privately with patients if they have a new or worsening sore throat, cough, shortness of breath or fever, or if they have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 10 days. We urge visitors/escorts with the above symptoms to reconsider their visit if it is not essential.
All visitors and escorts should cover mouth/nose when coughing or sneezing, use and dispose of tissues and perform hand hygiene after contact with respiratory secretions and must also perform hand hygiene prior to entering and upon leaving the patient’s room/care area.
We may need to restrict or limit visitors with little or no notice. Before coming to the hospital, visitors can get the most up-to-date visitor information by calling 207-778-6031 and asking to speak with the nursing unit in charge of their care.
Finally, we urge you to be current on your COVID-19 and annual flu vaccinations before visiting patients or others in the hospital. COVID-19 vaccinations, including booster shots, will help keep you and your loved one safe while visiting.
MaineHealth Franklin Hospital offers free wireless internet access for patients, visitors and guests. To connect, select the mhguest wifi network (no password is needed) on your mobile device, then accept the terms and conditions for use.
The Healthy Heart Café is located on the ground floor and offers a diverse menu of healthy and appetizing meals and snacks. Vending and coffee machines can be accessed at any time.

An ATM is located on the first level, near the hospital’s main entrance.
At MaineHealth, the privacy of your health information is a top priority. All MaineHealth locations follow strict guidelines that secure your medical records in accordance with your rights, and with federal and state regulations. You, or your legal representative, have the right to inspect and obtain a copy of your medical records. We do not offer walk-in services but can provide records electronically, on paper, on a USB flash drive, or on a compact disc (CD). Upon request, we will also send a copy of your medical records to another health care provider.
