Did one of our care team members made your experience with us extra special? Consider nominating them for a DAISY or BEE award!

The DAISY Award

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses® recognizes nurses at MaineHealth Franklin Hospital and our outpatient practices. The DAISY Award is an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary, compassionate and skillful care given by nurses every day.

We recognize one of our nurses with this special honor every month. Awardees are recognized at a public ceremony in their unit with a certificate, a pin, and a hand-carved stone sculpture entitled "A Healer’s Touch." Everyone in the unit celebrates with cinnamon rolls.

The BEE Award

The BEE Award can be given to any care team member who supports patient care and is not a nurse. The BEE Award recognizes our exceptional care team members who work alongside nursing teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. BEE is an acronym for "Be exceptional everyday."

Acknowledging the strength behind teamwork, the BEE Award is given monthly in conjunction with the DAISY Award to symbolize the relationship between nursing and non-nursing care team members. Each BEE Award Honoree will be recognized at a public ceremony in their department and receive a beautiful certificate, a BEE Award pin and more.
