We’re a General Surgery subspecialty section of the Department of Surgery at Maine Medical center, based in Scarborough, Maine. Our surgeons are board-certified diplomates of the American Board of Surgery.
- Three are also diplomates of the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery.
- Each is a subspecialist in highly specific areas.
- Rather than doing a large variety of operations occasionally, we prefer to focus on using advanced techniques to do fewer operations – but do them often and expertly. As a result, many of our patients travel from well outside the Portland area to have their consultation and surgery with us.
