Maine Medical Center's Annual Fund
Our Annual Giving donors are our most stalwart supporters--the ones who, year after year, step up and give because they believe it's the right thing to do. We cannot thank them enough.
Some give because they want to live in a community where everyone has access to the best care in the world, or because they understand how important a place like Maine Medical Center is to the broader health of the state of Maine. Many of our donors have been patients here at Maine Medical Center, or have had loved ones who have been in our care. All of them believe in our mission to relieve suffering and give hope and compassion to the ill and injured.
This generosity has had a real impact. Over the years, annual giving has raised more than $15 million to sustain and enhance important programs and services throughout Maine Medical Center (and now MaineHealth).
Annual donors are the lifeblood of Maine Medical Center, and heroes to the people who turn to us everyday for life-saving care.
Gifts to the Annual Fund are a good idea all year round.
How will my Annual Giving donation be used?
When you make your donation, you can choose which of our three major initiatives--patient care, education, or research--you want it to support, or you can opt for your gift to be "unrestricted," which means it will be used where the need is greatest.
Not sure what you want to support: Learn more about patient care, research, and education at Maine Medical Center.
How will my gift be recognized?
Gifts of any amount, no matter how big or small, help keep Maine Medical Center growing and adapting to meet the needs of Mainers. For donors who give particularly generously, we offer two different levels of recognition:
- President's Circle of Hope: $5,000 and above
- Leadership Circle: $1,000 to $4,499
It's also not just about how much a donor gives. Small gifts given every year make a real difference here at Maine Med. That's why we created The Legacy Society, which honors and celebrates Annual Giving donors who have given every year for 25 years. They, together with donors who have included Maine Medical Center in their estate plans, are treated every year to a special luncheon with some of Maine Medical Center's senior leadership and given an insider's look at the hospital and its plans for the future.
