Boothbay Harbor and Damariscotta Maine – St. Andrews Urgent Care Center will begin treating patients again on Wednesday, May 28. The Center’s hours will be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Services at the Center were temporarily suspended on March 25 to strengthen LincolnHealth’s response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic while continuing to care for patients with other health emergencies.

“We are excited to resume services at the St. Andrews Urgent Care Center,’’ said Timothy Fox, MD, LincolnHealth’s Chief Medical Officer. “Our team at the Family Care Center on the St. Andrews campus has done a remarkable job in Urgent Care’s absence, but we are ready to begin treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and acute illnesses at the Urgent Care Center.”

Safety of our patients and team members is the top priority across LincolnHealth. Patients will be met by a greeter at the entrance of the Urgent Care Center and will be asked several screening questions. Each urgent care team member also completes a screening before starting work each day.

All patients and team members will be required to wear a mask, and visitors will not be allowed in most situations. Appropriate distancing from team members and other patients is another safety measure that will be followed.

“We want our patients to understand that we are taking every precaution to assure that all of us remain safe,’’ said Tracy Tippie, MD, Director of Emergency Services. “Whether it’s at the Urgent Care Center or anywhere else at LincolnHealth for that matter, you should not put off any needed care due to safety concerns.”

The Urgent Care Center care team is composed of experienced emergency medicine providers, nurses and support team members who are dedicated to providing high-quality, efficient care.

Common conditions that are managed at the Urgent Care Center include:
