Benjamin Crocker

Both behavior therapy and the use of psychiatric medications require a stubborn attention to detail and a partnership between patient and provider to experiment with therapeutic tactics to find out what works for each individual.

I have always been interested in treating anxiety, especially with medications that have not been marketed for that purpose, since there have been no new commercial anxiety medications for over 30 years. Because the prescribing of psychotropic medications is heavily influenced by advertising, I think that the psychiatric treatment of anxiety is often overlooked.

My favorite recreational pastime is picking berries, both wild and domestic, and getting my grandchildren to appreciate nature's bounty.
