Sanjeev A Francis

I was born and raised in New York and completed my internship and residency in Internal Medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital of Cornell University Medical Center in Manhattan, where I also served as Assistant Chief Medical Resident. I spent one additional year at Cornell doing a post-doctoral research fellowship investigating the role of inflammation in cardiovascular disease. I then completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine and Advanced Cardiac Imaging at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. Following this I was on staff at Massachusetts General Hospital for six years where I was the founding director of the Cardio-Oncology Program. I was also an active member of the Harvard Medical School faculty.

I was excited to join Maine Medical Center in 2015 as the Director of Education for the MaineHealth Cardiovascular Services, including directing the cardiovascular fellowship program and continuing the tradition of training the future cardiologists. I believe that through outstanding clinical care, education and research we can improve the health of our patients and communities.
