Carri N Kivela, FNP

  • Nurse Practitioner, Family
Carri N Kivela
A graduate of the University of Rochester in 1990, I have thoroughly enjoyed being a nurse practitioner for more than 20 years. I have practiced in surgical, primary care and college health settings with a focus on travel medicine, adolescent and women’s health. I have seen sleep issues affect patients across the life span in every practice I have worked. Sleep medicine is a specialized discipline that allows me to combine the ever evolving science with a holistic approach to treatment. To uncover what will work best for each patient requires that we find out first what is going on with the individual, their family, work and home life. Also, providing education and support is vital to a successful relationship with a patient. This is why sleep medicine is an excellent role for me. Outside of work, I enjoy playing ice hockey and hiking in the White Mountains and throughout Maine.
