I have been a staff physician assistant since 2001 and greatly enjoy having the time to really get to know and understand my hospitalized patients. I love having the time to sit down with patients and their family members and figure out ways to optimally help the patient, both medically and socially. I have a special interest in nutrition and enjoy discussing ways of really changing diet. I love the challenges of internal medicine and the fact that it encompasses so many disciplines. 

My time outside the hospital is spent in my studio. I am a reduction woodblock printmaker and have illustrated two books as well as a yearly calendar. I love the intersection between art and craftsmanship that printmaking embodies: the tool sharpening, woodcarving, color mixing, and editioning. I have an energetic family life with my husband and two teenage sons and love to mountain bike, run, and lift weights.
