I am an infectious diseases specialist and medical director of antimicrobial stewardship at MMC. Having trained and worked across the US, I believe that the patient-physician relationship is about learning from each other. I seek to provide evidence-based care that is grounded in a patient’s values, identities, and context. This desire stems from the earliest interests that drew me to medicine: anthropology and bioethics. My research and clinical focuses are hospital-acquired infections, medical ethics, and enhancing the judicious usage of antimicrobials, also known as antimicrobial stewardship. Outside of work, I enjoy baking, birdwatching, and scavenger hunts.
