Christopher J Neal, MD

After a 22-year career of serving as a neurosurgeon in the United States Navy, I bring the same sense of service to the state of Maine. As a board certified, fellowship trained neurosurgeon in spinal deformity surgery I believe in patient engagement, education, and co-decision making to maximize the benefits of spinal surgery. My experience of treating spine and spinal cord trauma in the military forms the foundation of my clinical research interest where I work with national and international organizations to advance the field of spinal cord injury treatment.
