Douglas C Taylor, MD
- Orthopaedic Surgery
What attracted me to orthopedic surgery was the ability to have a positive impact on people's lives. Whether it is helping them through an unexpected injury or relieving years of arthritic pain, it remains extremely satisfying. I particularly enjoy the wide variety a general orthopedic practice offers as I often see patients for different issues over a number of years. Having been a family doctor for four years prior to entering orthopedics gives me a perspective on the whole patient rather than just their immediate concern which I think people appreciate. Practicing in a small rural hospital enhances this approach as my patients are often friends and neighbors.
