Richard E Nilson, MD
- Psychiatry
I work with adolescents and adults, many of whom are diagnostically complex. My interest in psychiatry comes from a desire to help people with their emotional issues. I provide treatment, usually in conjunction with other mental health providers, with the goal to reduce a person's emotional distress and maximize his/her quality of life as much as possible.
As a board certified psychiatrist, I received my medical and psychiatric training at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and completed my residency at the Institute of Living in Hartford, Connecticut. I also attended college in Maine.
