On Monday, May 21, construction will begin on the front entrance of Waldo County General Hospital. This construction, represents the first step in the highly anticipated emergency department enlargement project.
During the construction, the front entrance will remain open to patients for access to the emergency department and the rest of the hospital. During construction access to parking will be adjusted to accommodate construction while ensuring ease of patient access to services.
Included below is a detailed map that provides details on what construction will look like on campus. The map includes construction sites as well as patient and colleague parking. As this project progresses we will continue to keep the community apprised of changes that may alter access to the building or parking.
The open enrollment period for selecting health insurance on the Health Insurance Marketplace is under way, and MaineHealth wants people to know that many affordable plans – including some with $0 premium options – are available.
