Maine Medical Center
Sports Medicine Group

Didactics Schedule

Location: Family Medicine Center, 2nd Floor Conference Room
272 Congress St, Portland
Time: Various Wednesday Afternoons

These case based lectures are presented by the Sports Medicine Fellows and will include a brief epidemiology presentation, diagnostics, labs, treatment/CAM, procedures and health care maintenance.

Location: Maine Medical Partners, Ortho & Trauma
335 Brighton Avenue, Ste 200, Portland
Time: 8:00AM Saturday Sessions in July & August

The classes are designed to build on previous techniques and offer you the opportunity to practice specific applications and cast removals. These classes though are only an introduction at best and it is incumbent upon you to seek out those opportunities during your Fellowship to practice what you have learned in all of these sessions. In other words when given the opportunity, instead of asking one of the technologists or trainers to do a cast or splint for your patient, ask if they can observe YOU do the application and then critique your work. Practice makes perfect.
