Adjustment disorder screening and diagnosis

Your provider will do a mental health assessment. Loved ones may be consulted as part of the assessment. Adjustment disorder treatments can often include therapy or a combination of therapy and medication. Therapy can help patients identify the stress and relieve symptoms. Therapists can help patients change their negative feelings into positive and healthy actions. Contact your primary care provider if you or your loved one has signs of adjustment disorder and to see if treatment is needed.
