That's why MaineHealth Franklin Hospital chaplains are available 24/7 to offer spiritual support to hospitalized patients and their family members. We respect the religious and spiritual traditions of all people and are available regardless of religious affiliation.
Meet our chaplains
Rev. Tim Walmer has completed clinical pastoral education at Presbyterian (now Humana) Hospital, Denver, Colorado, and Central Maine Medical Center. He is a M.Div. graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary, and is an Ordained Minister in The Episcopal Church.
Rev. Susan Taylor received her Divinity master’s degree at Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts after earning her bachelor’s degree in art at the Maine College of Art in Portland. Since April 2017, she’s also been a serving as priest-in-charge at St. Andrew’s in Winthrop and as rector since 2021.

The Tree of Life Chapel is located on the first floor of MaineHealth Franklin Hospital. It is open 24/7 as a place to be alone with your thoughts and prayers, to sit with family members and friends, or to simply enjoy some peace and quiet. A prayer journal is available to record prayer requests. Bibles and spiritual literature are also available.
