MaineHealth Urogynecology South Portland provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for pelvic floor disorders. Your pelvic floor includes the muscles, ligaments and connective tissue in the lower pelvis that provide support to your body and help your organs function properly. Weakness or nerve dysfunction in the pelvic floor can affect your bladder, uterus, vagina and/or rectum.
Two specialty practices in one office location
Our team of board-certified specialists includes urogynecologists, a vulvovaginal specialist and highly-experienced nurse practitioners. Working together, we use a multi-disciplinary approach to delivering expert, team-based care. The urogynecology team treats people with pelvic floor support disorders. Our vulvovaginal specialist treats people with complex vulvovaginal disorders.

While some patients may self-refer to our practice, we recommend getting a referral from you primary care physician. This helps us better understand your individual needs and medical condition(s) prior to your first appointment with us. If a referral is not possible, please call us at 207-761-1502 and select option 6 to discuss your situation with one of our nurses.
What to bring to your new patient appointment:
- Insurance card and co-payment
- Completed new patient form (including voiding diary, if appropriate):
- Vulvovaginal New Patient Form (PDF) - For patients seeing Dr. Danby
- Urogynecologic New Patient Form (PDF) - For all other patients
- Copies of your medical records, if appropriate
- Current medication bottle(s) or a list of your current medications including dosages
- Arrive with a moderately full bladder (not needed if seeing Dr. Danby)
- Referral, if not already sent and required by insurance
