MMC supports a total of two palliative care fellowship positions per year. Candidates must have successfully completed three years of training in an approved allopathic or osteopathic training program and be board eligible in: Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Psychiatry, Radiation Oncology, or Surgery.

Application to the MMC Palliative Care Fellowship program is through the online Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) of the Association of American Medical Colleges. Fellowship positions are offered through the Medical Specialties Matching Program of the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).

  • Letter from Residency Program Director
  • Two additional letters of reference from attending physicians you have worked with at a U.S. teaching hospital during your residency.
  • Transcripts
  • USMLE or COMLEX transcripts
  • ECFMG Status Report
  • We accept J-1 Visas only

Interviews

We evaluate each application prior to extending an invitation to interview. Potential interviewees will be notified via the ERAS system, usually within 2 weeks of completing the ERAS application. For positions beginning in July, interviews will take place in fall (late September through early November).
