Nutrition Education | Waldo County

Making the healthy choice the easy choice

Waldo County SNAP-Ed provides nutrition education programs in local schools, food pantries, Head Start programs and other community groups and organizations. Popular class topics include: eating healthier on a budget; meal planning; navigating the grocery store; preparing healthy meals; reading nutrition labels; and the difference between fresh, canned and frozen produce. Most classes include cooking demonstrations, taste tests, giveaways and education about the importance of physical activity.
