Healthy Paybacks

All MaineHealth employees are eligible for Healthy Paybacks, putting dollars back in your pocket for participation in health and wellness activities. The Healthy Paybacks program will take new shape in January 2020 (details will be released in late December 2019). Between October 1, 2019 – December 31, 2019, you could be eligible for up to $25 reimbursement for participating in qualified wellness programs in any of three categories; general wellness, weight management, or stress management. Reimbursement forms are due not later than 1/31/2020 and will receive the Healthy Payback reimbursement in your 2/28/20 paycheck.

What activities are eligible for a Healthy Paybacks?

General Wellness

  • Community Supported Agriculture shares   (any item except alcohol) 
  • Health education classes (healthy cooking, sleep, chronic condition, health coach, etc.)
  • Fitness/Gym membership (includes classes such as yoga, kickboxing, etc.)
  • Recreational sports teams (e.g. soccer, softball, MH Track, bowling leagues)
  • Fitness related mobile applications

Weight Management

    • Weight Watchers
    • Jenny Craig
    • Nutri-System
    • Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS)
    • Online Weight Management Programs from one of the above
    • Nutrition & Weight Management Applications

    Stress Management

    • Stress Free Now online program (offered by Cleveland Clinic)
    • Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program (offered by MaineHealth)
     
     

    How do I get my Healthy Payback?

    Along with the required form, you’ll need to send proof of payment for each payback request, including:

    Your name
    Name of activity or class
    Amount of charge
    Date paid

    Send a receipt from the organization, a copy of your bank statement with account numbers crossed out or a canceled check. We can’t accept a copy of a check from your checkbook. If you pay monthly, submit proof of payment for each month.
