Now accepting resident applications from October 1, 2024 - February 1, 2025
Prerequisites
- Applicant must be a graduate from a CAPTE accredited physical therapy program with one year of experience
- Applicant must hold a valid Maine physical therapist license or be eligible to obtain one by program start
- Applicant must hold a current AHA BLS Provider certification
- Applicant must hold a current APTA membership
- Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Instructions
To apply, please submit the following documents to acuteptresidency@mainehealth.org:
- CV or resume and cover letter
- Two letters of reference (Clinical instructor, professor or previous employer)
- Copy of current AHA BLS Provider eCard
- Copy of APTA membership card
- Copy of valid physical therapist license
- Transcript from CAPTE accredited physical therapy program
Selected candidates with the appropriate prerequisites will be invited for a panel interview mid to late February. One candidate per annum will be selected and notified of appointment by April 1, contingent on passing a criminal background check.
In lieu of program fees, the resident is financially responsible for all costs associated with travel and lodging to attend the APTA Combined Sections Meeting in Anaheim, CA February 12-14, 2026. The program will reimburse the resident for the cost of Early Bird Registration.
